Afan FM was formed to provide training and experience opportunities to those with an interest in becoming radio presenters or broadcast jouranlists! With state of the art facilities and great "on the job" training - we're the best at nurturting the next generation of broadcasting talent in Wales!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Afan FM is staffed almost entirely by volunteers who are gaining valuable and rare "on the job" experience and training that they otherwise wouldn't have gained if it was not for our existence!

WE ALWAYS WELCOME NEW APPLICATIONS FROM PEOPLE LOOKING TO JOIN US!

However we don't let just anyone join - it's important that you convince us that you have the required committment, enthusiasm, teamwork ethic and most importantly - potential, in order to be considered for a place with us.

As you can imagine - we receive numerous applications each and every week and whilst we try our best to accomodate everyone, places are limited and suitable applications will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted when a suitable opportunity arises.


WHAT CAN I DO AT AFAN FM?	WHAT DO I GET?
There are several positions available to prospective team members at Afan FM:- Radio Presenter Broadcast Journalist Sports Reporter/Commentator Show Producer IT Technician/Web Developer If you don't specify a particular role you wish to be considered for - we'll offer you a position that best suits your abilities.	Sadly - all positions are voluntary. However you will get:- Amazing "on the job" training and guidance Access to state of the art studio facilities The chance to make loads of new amazing people - on and off the air! Invites to legendary Afan FM events and parties! Who needs money eh?


AM I ELIGABLE TO APPLY?	WANT TO APPLY?
Afan FM has an 'open door' policy with regard applications for new members. However the following cannot apply to be permanent members:- People under the age of 16 People with unspent criminal convictions People with a full time position at another radio station within a 30 miles radius of our studio complex Whilst we do not prohibit applications made by residents living outside of the Neath Port Talbot County Borough - priority is given to applications that are made by residents of the area	So - you want to join?
